Thirst Quencher

Limeade

  • 1 1/2 - 2 c. sugar
  • 8 c. cold water
  • 1 c. fresh lime (or lemon) juice

In a small sauce pan, combine sugar and 2 cups water. Boil for 2 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved. This forms a syrup. Allow to cool before using. (This can be made a few days in advance).

In a large pitcher, add syrup, remaining water (6 cups) and fresh squeezed lime or lemon juice. Stir ingredients and pour over ice. Keep refrigerated for up to one week.

For cherry limeades, add maraschino cherries and some of the juice (to taste) from the jar.

Just happened upon this recipe. During the summer is when I crave both lemonade and limeade. Can't wait to try your recipe.
