Black & White Snickerdoodles

This recipe is for the 3rd Annual Virtual Cookie Exchange over at Jenn's Journal. Enjoy this easy peasy recipe made from cake mix. There's no measuring of flour and sugar, you just dump and mix, then roll in cinnamon sugar. How easy is that? Anyone (including my 13 year old brother) can make these and everyone will love them.

Cake Mix Snickerdoodles from Betty Crocker
  • 1 box white cake mix*
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake mix, oils and eggs in a large bowl with spoon until dough forms (some dry mix will remain).

Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar mixture. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheet to cool on a wire rack.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.

*NOTE: I made a double batch of these, using a box of chocolate cake mix and a box of white cake mix. I rolled a small piece of each batter together so they made black and white snickerdoodles. A little bit of chocolate and vanilla with cinnamon and sugar. What's not to love?

  2. I would eat so many of those raw dough balls! Isn't that bad? They just look so good!
